Spooky Webs
I was all set with another post for today but changed my mind after reading my good friend Heathers' blog yesterday. Heather invited anyone to try this technique and I was up for the challenge.
I outlined the spider web in pencil on the basic gray card stock then traced over it with the tombow glue and added purple cosmic glitter. I stamped the bat from Batty for You stamp set and punched him out with the 1" circle punch and attached him on a 1 1/4" circle of tangerine tango. I used dimensionals to pop the spiders up from the web.
I made a coordinating treat purse which I cased from Angie at Chic n' Scratch.
Forgive me for using non Stampin' Up! sentiments; my friend Heather is slowly turning me into a fan of Halloween with all of her beautiful projects.

Trick or Treat
I had so much fun making this treat can for my daughter Nicole to give to her teacher. Who would not like to place a treat tin on their desk or counter as an incentive for good work, good deeds, manners or just becasue. Although I used last years designer paper from Stampin' Up! it could very easily be reproduced using this years designer paper "Ghostly Greetings" or how fun to use the "Best Ever" Simply Scarppin' kits from Stampin' Up! to celebrate a birthday.
Stamps: Carved & Candlelit, Booglie Eyes (both retired) but you could use "Batty for You" or Tasty Sweet".
Paper: Creepy Crawly DP
Ink: Basic Black
Embellishments: Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain ribbon, black ribbon (not Stampin' Up!)

A Season of Friendship

This is a new stamp set from the Holiday Mini. I love the simplicity and elegance of this stamp set. The kraft paper just sets the tone of all of this nicely. This is a perfect and inexpensive holiday hostess gift or teacher appreciation. It is easy to mass produce and would make anyones's day. I am encouraged by my very talented upline Heather whose blog you can see HERE and am offering this as a pre-order class where you will make 4 cards and a gift box and you will go home with the "Season of Friendship" stamp set so you can make more of these beautiful cards. The class will be held on
Monday November 24th
7:00pm - 9:00pm
$40
Kits are available to purchase as well if you are unable to attend the class.

Having A Blast
Well I still don't know my way around this blog thing as easily as I would like but I just have to let you know I have been having a blast making so many wonderfull projuects on UStamp.
If you have not checked out UStamp, just click on the blinkie on the right. You will not be disappointed and there is still time to sign up for the first session of UStamp until mid November. Of coarse there will be another session starting up with new projects. Heather does a fantastic job of creating step by step instructions with photos of each project.
Here is a sneak peak of a project I just made for my daughter Nicole to give to one of her favourite teachers (she has 6 favourites).

A Work In Progress...
I really want to have a blog so I can share my love for stamping and other stuff but I am still learning my way around this so I have not posted any of my projects.
I have to admit I am having a difficult time balancing work, family, taking care of our home and stamping let alone posting on my blog everyday. School starts tomorrow and getting back into routine will be an adjustment for my two chioldren. So for now I am going to try and organize myself and my time and hopefully I will be back soon.
Thanks for your inderstanding and see you soon.
Stampingly Yours,
Dale

While I wait for the New Catalogue
This week has been somewhat over whelming and busy with the quarterly business meeting on Monday night, my super upline meeting last night, along with trying to figure out how to set up my own blog and the launch of the new Fall Winter Catalogue from Stampin' Up! I have not had time to do much stamping.
My 12year old daughter Nicole has caught the stamping bug and so I wanted to show you a card she stamped for her brothers' birthday. She enjoys making her own cards with her own creative style. Well done Nicole.

So much enthusiasm and excitement
Last night I attended my first quarterly meeting with Alicia and her team - "Stamps R Us" and let me just say Alicia puts on a fabulous meeting complete with a demonstrator theater, awards, prizes, make and take and we heard from every demonstrator who attended Convention '08 recently in Utah.
I can only imagine what convention is like (times by one hundred)because there was a lot of excitement and enthusiasm in the room last night with the 80 ladies. Meeting so many ladies who share the same passion for Stamping is so much fun.
I have been stamping for three years and have recently became a demonstrator with the mind set to purchase my stamps at a discount and maybe a few items and in this short time I have developed a love for paper crafting and wnt to turn it into a business that allows me to be at home and do what I love.
I cannot imagine my life without Stampin' Up! and would like to share the opportunity with those around me. If you have ever thought about getting some free product, or product at a discount, or making some extra income or wondered what Stampin' Up! has to offer this opportunity could be for you! Worst case scenario you get lots of great stamping stuff at a very discounted price in the starter kit! Best case scenario you establish relationships and friendships that will last a life time and maybe some free stamps! With the release of the new catalogue on August 11th, there is a new starter kit that you can totally customize yourself PLUS Stampin' Up! is offering a FREE stamp set of your choice.
If you live in the London area, I invite you attend my upline's quarterly meeting in October 2008 with me to check out what Stampin' Up! has to offer or my upline (Heather is sweet, fun and so talented). If you are a Canadian and think that this may be an opportunity you would enjoy I encourage you to email me privately at inkspiredwithdale@gmail.com as I would love to talk with you to see if you think Stampin' Up! would be right for you or check out the Stampin Up! webpage at http://www.stampinup.com/
OK, I can't believe how GREAT Stampin' Up! truly is! Stampin' Up! is having a sign up deal starting August 11th!!! HOW AMAZING!!!
